Appealing for
volunteers!
Volunteers are vital to our retail operation helping us to
keep shops open and raising funds and awareness for
your local Hospice.
Sian Harper, Retail Manager explained,
“We are so lucky to have a great core of
volunteers who support us with everything from
pricing stock to serving customers. However,
there have been occasions where we’ve had
to close shops early because we just don’t have
enough volunteers and we’d love to be able to
keep the shops open longer for our customers.
Closing a store early means we are losing trade
that brings in income for the Hospice”
Volunteering is not only beneficial to us as a Hospice, it
alsohelps buildkey skills andconfidence. Each volunteer
within our retail stores is supported by an induction
programme to ensure they have the best possible start
to working with us. We are currently looking for more
people to assist in our retail stores at present. If you are
interested in finding out more or know someone who
is please contact our HR team on
