It’s Ladies
Night!
A local charity fundraiser is hosting a ladies
only event in support of St Clare’s Hospice.
The Ladies Night Out will be held on Friday
9th June at the Neon Social Club, based on
Nairn Road, Jarrow.
Guests will be treated to an evening of
entertainment with a drag show performance
by Miss Lola Passion, fun and games, a
tombola and raffle followed by a disco. The
evening starts at 7pm and tickets cost £5.
The event is the brainchild of Karly Milne, of
South Shields, who is an avid supporter of
the Hospice and hopes to raise in excess of
£300 on the night.
“St Clare’s is a charity close to our hearts
and my family and I have done a number
of fundraising events for the Hospice over
the past few years,”
explained Karly.
“My
Nana Lily always supported St Clare’s and
she always said once she passed away that
she hoped we would continue to carry on
fundraising on her behalf. This will be the first
Ladies Night Out that we have organised
and we are hoping lots of ladies attend! It
should be a great event with entertainment
from Miss Lola Passion as well as lots of other
activities planned for the night.”
Vanessa Middleton, Fundraising Manager
at St Clare’s Hospice, said:
“We are
incredibly grateful to have such committed
fundraisers like Karly supporting our
charity and hosting events like the Ladies
Night Out in support of St Clare’s. Over the
last several years, Karly and her family
have raised over £2,500 for our hospice
which helps with our running costs which
are just under £2million each year.”
Tickets can be purchased by contacting
St Clare’s fundraising team direct on
0191 529 7111.
All about
St. Clare’s!
With the support of Sean Conroy Productions we have
produced a short video about the Hospice to give people
who may not know much about our services an overview
of what we are all about. Our Dr’s Lucy and Amy as well as
Healthcare assistant Lesley and volunteer Josie gave their
time to be featured in the video and give people who may
not have visited us a chance to see what we are all about!
Thanks ladies for taking part- you’re all film stars now!
Thank you to Sean for all his hard work in editing and
filming the piece which can be viewed on the Hospice
website and via our YouTube channel just search for
