A word from our chairman
Welcome to the latest edition of the St. Clare’s Hospice Newsletter which includes some exciting details of our
planned fundraising events, news from our retail stores and of course the latest news from our Day Care and
In-Patient services.
Sadly we said goodbye to David Hall who has been our Chief Executive for many years and has now retired. We
wish him well and hope he has a very happy retirement. We welcomed our new Chief Executive Avril Robinson
into post in January and you can read all about her vision for the Hospice in her interview.
We are looking forward to celebrating our 30th Birthday this year and continuing to develop Hospice services
and strategies to ensure we are here for another 30 years. We’re busy picking out a few favourite moments
from the past to go in our next edition in the Autumn but would love to hear from you if you have any special
memories or photographs from years gone by.
I hope you enjoy reading about our latest updates and look forward to updating you again in our next
edition.
Kind Regards
Enid Apsey
Chairman
