Memory Tree
When a loved one has passed away we want to do something that marks their life and show how
important they were to their family and friends.
As a special way for you to celebrate the life of your loved one, (whether they have a connection to St.
Clare’s Hospice or not) you can dedicate a leaf on our beautiful Memory Tree.
With just 200 leaves, our Tree is proudly displayed
in the reception area at the Hospice for all to see.
Leaves on the tree are engraved with the name
of a loved one, creating a lasting tribute to their
memory.
A leaf on our tree costs just £120 for a year, which
can be paid either annually or monthly.
Each leaf can be engraved with a single name or a
couple (up to 20 characters including spaces)
For example; John Smith or John & Mary Smith.
All money raised by the Memory Tree goes towards
providing palliative care services to our patients. So
not only are you celebrating the life of your loved
one, you are helping patients and their families
during a difficult time in their lives.

Our Memory Tree has been sponsored by The co-operative Funeralcare who have been supporters
of St. Clare’s for a number of year’s. Dawn Noble-Battersby, Care Centre Manager for South
Tyneside said,
“We were delighted to be approached by St. Clare’s to sponsor the
Memory Tree. We’ve supported the Hospice for a number of years now through a
variety of events and campaigns, most recently at the Tea at Three event where
we donated prizes and helped on the day with fundraising activities. It was a
natural move for us to sponsor the Memory Tree which creates a lasting tribute for
those who have lost a loved one. Our local team care deeply about the community
and St Clare’s Hospice has a very special place in our hearts.”
