Coach Trip
Saturday 19th November 2016
Join us as we travel to Harrogate
for a traditional Christmas Market.
After enjoying the market, why
not take a stroll around the town
centre? Harrogate is a fantastic
place for a spot of retail therapy
while enjoying the Christmas lights
and atmosphere.
There are also a great selection
of cafés and restaurants to get a
bite to eat, including the famous
Betty’s Café tea room!

Make a Will Month
November 2016
During Make a Will Month participating solicitors in our local area have agreed to give
their time and expertise freely to help you create a Will. All we ask is that you make
a suggested donation to the Hospice of £70 for a single Will and £95 for a pair of
matching Wills. Writing a Will ensures your loved ones are taken care of and that your
wishes are carried out after you’re gone. So if the time is right for you to make your Will,
please utilise St. Clare’s Hospice Make a Will Month.

Make sure you mention ‘St. Clare’s Hospice Make a Will Month’ when you ring for
your appointment, which must be made during November. You usually arrange your
appointment to take place at the Solicitors office, however home visits may be available,
please ask when you contact them for an appointment.
Leaving a Legacy
Every year ordinary supporters of St. Clare’s Hospice help us to give extraordinary care
to people of all ages, from every part of our community by leaving us a gift in their Will.
People choose to remember us in their Will in several different ways:
• A Residual Gift - when you leave all or a percentage of the net value of your Estate.
• A Pecuniary Gift - when you leave a set amount of money.
• A Specific Gift - when you leave an item, such as
jewellery, an antique or even a property.
You might not be aware that leaving a legacy could also reduce the amount of
inheritance tax charged on your estate. Whether you leave us a gift of £50 or £50,000
every penny you give helps us continue caring in your community.
If you decide that you would like to support St. Clare’s by leaving a legacy, please do let
