Sporting Evening
Our Sporting Evening with Peter Reid and Kevin Ball was
well supported by our local businesses and by those who
came along on the night.
The evening took place at the Hedworth Hall in South Shields
in March and around 200 people bought tickets to see the
two sporting legends.
The event raised over £11,000 and was made possible
thanks to the support of our Platinum sponsor Vic Young
South Shields Ltd and Gold sponsors; CTS (Car Parts Trade
Supplies Ltd) and Utilitywise.
Thank you to everyone who attended and donated prizes
for raffle and auction.
Rainbow Dash!
Our third Rainbow Dash took place on Sunday 22nd May 2016
at Monkton Stadium and saw over 300 people run through a
shower of incredible colours!
With a 1k or 5k option to run, it really was a fun family event.
Our runners and spectators had a fantastic time and we were
delighted to see so many people there to support St. Clare’s.
Special thanks to all of our volunteers on the day, Monkton
Stadium, Radio South Tyneside and our Colour Station
sponsors; Fit 4 Less, LS Care, Peter Johnson Funerals and
Martinos.
Here are just some of the brilliant photos from the day, to see
more visit our Facebook or Twitter page.
Missed out on the fun? We will be announcing the date of our
2017 event very soon, to register your interest for next year’s
Rainbow Dash please contact the Fundraising Team on 0191

Tea at Three
On Thursday 7th July we invited the local community
and businesses to join us at our tea party as part of
our Tea at 3 campaign and Mayor of South Tyneside,
Coun Alan Smith officially opened the day. The event
was held at the Hospice on Primrose Terrace in
Jarrow from 11am until 4pm and included free tea
and coffee. There were also cakes and savouries
for sale and a host of games including tea bag toss,
guess the number of sweets in the jar, tombola and
raffle. The Hospice event raised an incredible £944!
Local businesses supported the day by volunteering
to help out and donating refreshments and prizes.
These include The Co-operative Funeralcare, Tesco
in Simonside, Greggs, Jarrow in Duffy’s Deli and
Morrisons in Jarrow.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone
who was involved in the day and everyone who held
their own Tea at 3.
