Our Daycare guests access various activities when they visit us including: computer classes, arts and
crafts, exercise classes, educational visits and entertainment shows. Here we bring you a roundup of
some of the activities they have been doing since our last newsletter.
We’ve enjoyed some great entertainment; our Daycare guests
were involved with a ukulele band and even learnt how to play
the instruments. Thanks to The Bold Balladiers who gave a lovely
Victorian themed performance with singers.
Our Men’s group have been enjoying playing dominoes and
gardening; particularly planting sunflowers for our garden.
Thursday’s group also enjoy acting with plays written by one of
our Daycare guests
It’s been a time of
celebrations in Daycare,
especially for one of our
guests who celebrated
their 90th birthday;
they were in good
company as we also
celebrated Her Majesty
the Queen’s 90th with
a series of tea parties,
complete with bunting
and of course cake!

Lots of arts and crafts activities have been taking place
with book folding, knitting, jewellery making and candle
decorating among just a few of the things our talented
guests are making.
At the time of writing preparations were taking place
for the annual Daycare family fun day on Saturday 13th
August at Bamburgh Grove Community Hall. Make sure
you visit our Facebook and Twitter pages to see how
much was raised!
Thank you to all the guests and staff who have been
