Supporting St. Clare’s at work
In 2016 we are looking to work together with more local companies to build mutual partnerships. We believe in creating links
that will not only help the hospice but also benefit the business!
We have a number of opportunities that promote employee engagement in the workplace and help build morale. Our events
throughout the year are the perfect opportunity for staff to volunteer together or to take part. We also have some fantastic
commercial opportunities including sponsorship of our popular events Rainbow Dash, Tree of Lights and our Boxing Day Dip.
Thank you to the business that have supported St. Clare’s over
the last 6 months. Some of the highlights have included:

Staff at TSB Jarrow have taken part in a
bag pack at Morrisons and raised over £550!
•
Nationwide customers voted for St. Clare’s Hospice
in their Community Match Scheme so we received
a £600 donation.
•
Staff at Barbour raised a fantastic £230.
•
We also received kind donations from
Punjab Kitchen, Bellway, Bond Dickinson,
Reflections Ubisoft and Carillion.
Over Christmas we had quite a few businesses
supporting us either by donating in lieu of Christmas
cards and taking part in our Sign & Share scheme
or by wearing their Jolly Jumpers to work. These
included:
• Siemens, Galliford Try, South Tyneside Council,
Gateshead Council, Lee’s Cleaning, BT, Engica
Technology, Berghaus, Expedient Training, Harlow
Printing, Talbot Medical Centre, Edinburgh Road
Pharmacy, Virgin Money, SAFT, HVR International,
Altomed, Tesco, Dorma UK and the Shields Ferry
crew!
• Sheltered accommodation/care homes including
Needham Court, Anchor and Wingrove House.
• HMRC Longbenton, DWP in Sunderland and
Jobcentre Plus.
• NHS staff at Clarendon House and South
Tyneside District Hospital (Antenatal Unit and
pharmacy).
