The Board of Trustees have also made decisions to invest in
our fundraising capacity. In October 2014, a Trainee Fundraiser
role was approved to enhance the team. The post holder will
be expected to learn each aspect of the fundraising role over
a period of 18 months. In-house and external training will be
provided.
The role of the Trainee Fundraiser will be to:
•
Strengthen our existing Fundraising activities
•
Develop new ways in which to raise income
•
Expand our catchment area
Following a review of its financial management arrangements the
board made a decision to recruit a qualified Finance Manager
to lead the finance and accounting requirements within the
Hospice. The Finance Manager would report on a day to day
basis to the Chief Executive but with direct access to the Board
of Trustees to support their plans to grow the charity.
Finally, the Board of Trustees would like to express their sincere
thanks to the Senior Management Team and staff for their
professionalism, dedication and hard work during the past and
sometimes difficult year. We would also like to pay tribute to our
willing volunteers for their time, talents and efforts would always
give so unstintingly of their most welcome support.
